Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Anson County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact message may be retained long enough to review and answer it. We do not share that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Routine web logs and service tools may collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when available; and
- date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can refuse or delete cookies, though a blocked cookie may cause some features to work differently.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information may be used for the following operational purposes:
- maintaining reliable and responsive pages;
- sending a search request to the selected partner service;
- understanding which resources visitors use;
- finding and correcting technical problems; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect interests.
Links and Outside Services
Links may lead to Sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, release records, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy terms govern its collection and use of information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across sites to select ads. That tracking occurs through their systems and policies, not through a record collection maintained by this site.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics providers;
- advertising networks; and
- law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect site operations and information. No internet-connected service is fully secure, however, so we cannot promise that a system will never be accessed, altered, or breached.
People Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us to request deletion.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and the data actually held, a user may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data we hold;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete qualifying information; or
- opt out of certain processing.
